Hiring a grab lorry - instead of a skip
Contents |
[edit] Introduction
Whether for a construction company, commercial business, or a homeowner; skip hire is often the most common choice when it comes to the disposing of waste from a project. This article looks at reasons hiring a grab lorry may be a more beneficial choice.
[edit] Permits and space
When hiring a skip, the local council may require a permit depending on where it will be located. Although these permits are often approved, they call for a lot of organisation and planning in advance – as well as the additional cost.
To use a grab lorry however, no permit is required. Grab lorries will arrive at a specified time to collect all the waste, before transporting it to the closest tip or landfill used by the company.
In addition, grab hire lorries do not need to park in a driveway or block a public road; allowing for a quick and easy solution.
[edit] Easy access
Grab lorries are designed to collect all waste in one go. It’s unique grab function can easily reach rubbish in awkward places, no matter how heavy or where it is placed.
Most grab lorries collect any type of waste from 2 to 15 cubic yards.
[edit] Cost efficiency
On average, a pick up by a grab lorry takes 20 minutes; a significant difference to the days it takes to use a skip.
Grab lorries will remove all waste from a site, no matter how many trips need to be made, ensuring that all waste is disposed of. Mixed loads are also collected, meaning that organising and separating waste may be unnecessary.
With no need for a permit and at cheaper rates than a skip, grab hire lorries can be a cost effective and efficient solution.

Great Information. Grab hire lorries are perfectly designed to be able to remove large amounts of construction, business, and garden waste. Oftentimes projects will require a lot of work and will generate a lot of waste, and this needs to be dealt with swiftly and succinctly.
